The first trailer for Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers is here and looks like nothing you could have imagined

Disney has released the first trailer for Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers… the movie, which is part sequel to the tv show and part mocumentary, its weird, but check out the trailer at least.

In “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers,” Chip and Dale are living amongst cartoons and humans in modern-day Los Angeles, but their lives are quite different now. It has been decades since their successful television series was cancelled, and Chip who is now voiced by John Mulaney has succumbed to a life of suburban domesticity as an insurance salesman. Dale, who has lost the squeak and is now voiced by Andy Samberg, has had CGI surgery and works the nostalgia convention circuit, desperate to relive his glory days. When a former cast mate mysteriously disappears, Chip and Dale must repair their broken friendship and take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas once again to save their friend’s life.

As with all these reboots of classic series, none of the original cast have been tasked with recording their voices for the characters, though Corey Burton and Tress MacNeille do have roles in it. The rest of the cast includes:

  • KiKi Layne (“If Beale Street Could Talk”)

  • Will Arnett (“Arrested Development”)

  • Eric Bana (“Dirty John”)

  • Flula Borg (“Pitch Perfect 2”)

  • Dennis Haysbert (“24”)

  • Keegan-Michael Key (“Schmigadoon!”)

  • Tim Robinson (“I Think You Should Leave”)

  • Seth Rogen (“Pam and Tommy”)

  • J.K. Simmons (“Being the Ricardos”)

  • Chris Parnell (“Saturday Night Live”).

As for when you can watch it, May 20 is when it will come to Disney+
