The final Grand Prix for Crash Team Racing is now live
Activision have announced that the final Grand Prix for Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled is here and will take racers on a trip that is out of this world. The only downside, this is the final Grand Prix event, but never fear, something else is coming.
Deciding earth is no longer of interest, the villainous Nitros Oxide has challenged Crash and team to one last epic battle on his home planet in the Gasmoxia Grand Prix! During this toxic race to the finish, players will challenge each other on an epic new track high up in Gasmoxia’s atmosphere, where two rival fast-food conglomerates are battling it out for planet domination (and a CTR TV sponsorship). New skins, karts, an imperious new character to unlock and a new track to conquer, touted as the most technical track ever assembled in Crash Team Racing - - players will have a wild ride in this Grand Prix season!
With the launch of the Gasmoxia Grand Prix this week, Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled boasts a total of eight Grand Prix seasons, 40 racetracks, 12 Battle Arenas and more than 50 characters, which no matter how you look at it, is a lot of free content.
As this is the final Grand Prix, you might be asking what is next, well Activision have announced that a new series of challenges will be coming. This new system gives any driver the opportunity to master challenges, earn Wumpa coins, and further customize their experience with items in the Pit Stop. There will be challenges relevant to all game modes, so players can race and play CTR Nitro-Fueled the way they enjoy most.
Three challenge types will remain active: Daily, Weekly, and Pro (Monthly). Completing challenges will give players varying amounts of Wumpa Coins that they can use in the Pit Stop.
The Pit Stop will feature items from each Grand Prix season. Players will be able to view a variety of items by refreshing the Pit Stop screen up to 2 times per day, to give them more daily options to choose from when customizing their CTR Nitro-Fueled experience.
