The birdman is back! Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 is coming later this September
In a bit of a surprise reveal, Activision has announced that Tony Hawk Pro Skater is back, with the first and second games in the series, getting a complete remake and coming later this September 4, as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 will feature the full original roster of pro skaters from the turn of the 21st century. That includes Steve Caballero, Geoff Rowley, Bucky Lasek, Elissa Steamer, Kareem Campbell, Andrew Reynolds, Bob Burnquist, Eric Koston, Rodney Mullen, Jamie Thomas, Rune Glifberg, Chad Muska… And of course, Tony Hawk.
These skaters all come with their own Special Moves – from Geoff Rowley’s Darkside Grind to Tony Hawk’s legendary 900 – and have learned a few new tricks over the past two decades, including the Revert, Lip Tricks, and the Wall Plant, allowing you to pull off incredible combos like never before.
Though a remaster, which will feature the usual visual updates, the most important part is the soundtrack and it appears most are coming back. If that was not enough, Create a Skater and Create a Park are both making a return, letting you live out your skating dreams on the course of your nightmares, if you so choose.
The game will come with a few options for players, the standard game, a digital deluxe edition of the game for a little more, or if you really want to show your love, there is a very nice collectors edition available as well.
For $169.95 you can own a replica and fully functional board, complete with the icon Birdhouse design, though using it might remove the signature from the birdman himself. If you want to order one, you can do it here for PlayStation 4 and here for Xbox One.
