Star Trek: Resurgence will arrive this May and provide new looks at the final frontier
Dramatic Labs, a studio founded by a number of former Telltale Games devs, have announced that their debut game, Star Trek: Resurgence will arrive on May 23rd. You can check out this gameplay via IGN below, if you wish to see it in action.
For those who are fans of Star Trek: The Next Generation, the story in Resurgence is set just after the events of that series, so its a continuation of sorts. Players will experience the conflict and larger mystery from two key perspectives. First is the U.S.S. RESOLUTE’s First Officer Jara Rydek is part of the diplomatic envoy led by Ambassador Spock that’s tasked with finding a resolution—and uncovering the ultimate source of this tense situation. The second viewpoint is that of Engineering Crewperson Carter Diaz highlights how the mission plays out from the lower decks, caught up in the events in his own unique way.
Throughout the gripping story, players can interact with the Star Trek universe like never before, with moments of authentic action and critical decisions that shape the broader narrative in subtle and unexpected ways.
The game is coming on May 23rd for PC, Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
