Spider-Man is joining Marvel's Avengers but only on PlayStation
In a move that is odd and there is no way around it, Square Enix have revealed that Spider-Man is joining the Avengers, but only on PlayStation. Via the PlayStation Blog, it was revealed that Spidey would be coming in early 2021 and be free, but again, only to those on PlayStation, there is a lot of love for the character all around and Jeff Adams, an associate art director for the game, explained in detail. Below is a sample of the post, but click here to read it all:
Every once in a while, life presents you with a moment where your pursuits and your passions converge. Today is one such moment for me because I get to be the first to announce that our own Crystal Dynamics take on Spider-Man is teaming up with Ms. Marvel, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Black Widow of Marvel’s Avengers.
Exclusive content like this is a hot topic and one that I won’t get into to much, but honestly, this is a shitty deal by PlayStation, Marvel and Square Enix. Costumes would have been acceptable, but to remove an entire character from other platforms is just nasty.
That being said, there might be a special character coming to the Xbox versions, maybe Wolverine or Moon Knight, time will tell perhaps.
