Sphero's RVR rolls into stores today

Sphero have been hard at work since the start of the year, with RVR, their first fully programable robot and while they did seek funding from Kickstarter and blew through the goal, they have announced that anyone can pick up one of the little guys as they are available now, check out the video below to learn more.

Of course, that is all well and good, but what can you, well the folks at Sphero started a series, were they would show off an experiment, then breakdown how it was done, here is the first episode.

RVR is drivable right out of the box, making it approachable and accessible to coders of all levels. For beginners looking to grow, RVR is the perfect coding robot because of its unique ability to expand and change based on the user’s growing skill level.

“When we launched RVR on Kickstarter earlier this year, we were blown away by the response,” said Adam Wilson, Sphero co-founder and Chief Creative Officer. “Our community of makers, developers, and teachers all rallied around RVR to make it a huge success even before they could get their hands on one. RVR has significantly extended our reach to makers of all ages, and of all coding abilities. We can’t wait to see what everyone creates with RVR.”

The little droid is not cheap though, $400 is what you can expect to pay for it, but given all you can do, that is not so bad.
