SkaterXL gets a release month and a new location
SkaterXL has been coming for sometime, but now we know when as developer Easy Day Studios have announced that July will be when players can kick-flip it all around the world on Switch, Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. In addition to that, it was announced that a large map, based on Downtown Los Angeles would also be included in the game, letting players grind around the Los Angeles Convention Centre, Staples Centre and other locations around it.
If you watched the trailer you will have noticed that it was also revealed that players will be able to skate as street legends Tom Asta, Tiago Lemos, Evan Smith and Brandon Westgate, but if that is not up your alley, you will also be able to skate as yourself, with the games create feature.
“Today’s announcements are the culmination of more than a year of focused development and we couldn’t be happier to have Tom, Tiago, Evan and Brandon as ambassadors of this journey,” stated Dain Hedgpeth, Director and Co-Founder of Easy Day Studios. “Downtown LA is iconic to skating and we wanted to showcase it first as we gear up for launch. We spent considerable time capturing critical details to recreate its many legendary spots and look forward to players getting their hands on it in July.”
