Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven has released a demo

Square Enix have announced that a demo has been released for Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven, giving players a chance to sample the game ahead of its October release.

In the demo, players step into the shoes of the Emperor Leon and, with his second son, Prince Gerard, start an epic journey that will span across generations as Leon, Gerard and subsequent emperors contend with the Seven Heroes – once revered heroes who, for reasons unknown, now seek revenge against the world. The demo concludes with a battle with Kzinssie, one of the Seven Heroes, setting the stage for the multi-generation story to unfold. As save data from the demo is transferable to the full game, meaning that those who do play the demo can pick up in the full game.

In addition to the demo, a new trailer for the game has been released, ahead of the Tokyo Game Show, giving players a new look at the remake of this 1993 classic.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven invites players on an epic journey through generations, where they will defend and grow their empire. The innovative free-form scenario system ensures that every decision shapes the narrative, influencing who will ascend to the imperial throne with each new heir. Crafted by the creators of the acclaimed 2020 Trials of Mana remake, this complete overhaul boasts stunning modern graphics, enhanced strategic elements, and a host of improvements. Fans of the SaGa series and first-time players will be thrilled with features like the option to toggle between the original soundtrack and a reimagined score, as well as the flexibility of three adjustable difficulty levels.

The game will arrive on October 25th for Switch, PC and PlayStation.
