Race across the dunes once more as Dakar Desert Rally is coming in 2022
Saber Interactive have revealed that Dakar Desert Rally is bringing the iconic racing series - which itself is based off the iconic race, back to gamers in 2022. Check out the reveal trailer for it below.
It has been a few years since the last game based around the Dakar event released and back then it was made by Bigmoon Entertainment, since then that studio was bought out by Saber and is now Saber Porto, and they are the folks making this one.
With that pedigree in mind, the team are crafting what they say is a true next-generation racer, which will feature true off-road rally action, all based on the 2020-2021 Dakar raids, complete with authentic vehicles, realistic physics and dynamic seasons and weather.
Dakar Desert Rally is aiming to capture the genuine speed and excitement of Amaury Sport Organisation’s largest rally race on the planet, featuring a wide variety of licensed vehicles from the world’s top makers, including motorcycles, cars, trucks, quads, and SSVs. The game offers unique challenges for off-road simulation diehards and casual racing fans alike: compete in fierce online multiplayer races or navigate the vast wilds in single-player offline.
The game is coming in 2022 to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
