Put your detective skills to the test in Nobody Wants to Die later this year
Plaion and developer Critical Hit Games have announced Nobody Wants to Die will, an all-new noir inspired detective adventure game, that takes place hundreds of years in the future and explores immortality and the dangers of transhumanism.
The game takes place in 2329, where for the humans of the world immortality is possible, for a price, which means death is thing of the past. However following a near-death experience, Detective James Karra takes an off-the-books case from his chief.
He won’t be dealing with this mystery alone as he will get help from Sara Kai, a young police liaison and together they will work to pursue a killer, whilst uncovering the dark secrets of the elite that call New York home. But as this game is set in the future there will be a host of fancy tools to make use of, in your quest for justice.
Some of the tools at your disposal will allows the consciousness to be stored in memory banks or transferred from one body to another. That is, if you can afford the subscription. There is also a device that allows for time manipulation, allowing you to reconstruct events that lead up to the murder of the victim.
The game is due to release later in 2024 for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, but there is no firm date beyond that yet.
