PlayStation Plus is increasing in price in Australia

PlayStation Australia have announced that the cost of PlayStation Plus is going up in Australia, starting on April 16th, which is next week.

The costs are not massive, thankfully, but they are still an increase. Below are the new costs and the current/old ones, so you can see the changes. That means if you pay monthly and want to ensure you save some money, you can get a longer period, just to pay the lower price.

PlayStation Plus Essential:

  • 1 month: $12.95 - Up from $11.95

  • 3 months: $35.95 AUD - Up from $33.95

  • 12 months: $102.95 AUD - Up from $95.95

PlayStation Plus Extra:

  • 1 month: $20.95 - Up from $18.95

  • 3 months: $59.95 - Up from $54.95

  • 12 months: $187.95 - Up from $169.95

PlayStation Plus Deluxe:

  • 1 month: $23.95 - Up from $21.95

  • 3 months: $70.95 - Up from $63.95

  • 12 months: $214.95 - Up from $196.95

As you can see, the biggest plan is an increase of $22 for the year, which makes it less than $2 a month, but still a price increase is not something some folks will be happy with.

The news was revealed alongside the new additions for the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe Tiers that are coming on April 16th as well.
