Pinocchio is set to dance onto Disney+ this September
Disney have released the first teaser trailer for Pinocchio, their upcoming live-action adaptation of the animated classic, with Tom Hanks taking on the role of the craftsman Geppetto.. sorry Drew Carey. Check out the teaser below.
The movie will release on Disney+ on September 8th, which is the same day as their apparently now annual Disney+ Day. This is just the first release for the day, because Disney+ will announce more Disney+ Day premieres from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic in the coming months.
As for the movie, as mentioned above Tom Hanks takes on the role of Geppetto, the wood carver who builds and treats Pinocchio, voiced by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as if he were his own son.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Jiminy Cricket, who serves as Pinocchio’s guide as well as his "conscience"; here is the rest of the cast.
