PGA Tour 2K21 drives towards a release this August
After being teased the other week, 2K have officially unveiled the newly announced golfing entry in their sports series, PGA Tour 2K21 will swing onto all platforms this August. That is PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia.
Developed by HB Studios, the studio behind The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour , PGA Tour 2K21 marks the evolution of The Golf Club franchise and will include 15 licensed PGA Tour courses, each of which was scanned using cutting-edge technology to bring the fairways, greens, bunkers, trees, lakes and ponds to life.
The cover athlete for the game is PGA Tour winner Justin Thomas, who took home five PGA wins in 2017 alone. Thomas will be joined by 11 additional PGA Tour pros, each of whom will present a challenge to players in PGA Tour Career Mode as they compete to become a FedExCup Champion.
“Being chosen to be the first-ever cover athlete for the premiere PGA Tour 2K game is a tremendous honor,” said Justin Thomas, 2017 FedExCup Champion, PGA Championship winner and former World #1 on the Official World Golf Ranking. “I’m excited to join the 2K family and challenge players everywhere on the digital links.”
If you want to create your own golf pro, you can do that with the games MyPlayers mode, where you can define every aspect of your golfing god, including what they wear, with real world items from brands like adidas, Polo Ralph Lauren, Malbon Golf, Callaway Golf, Bridgestone Golf, TaylorMade Golf and more.
On the presentation side, players will be able to enjoy a real broadcast-style experience, complete with play-by-play commentary of renowned broadcaster Luke Elvy and analyst Rich Beem.

The game is coming to all platforms on August 21, but those looking to golf on the go with the Switch release, will have to do digital day one, as there will be a delay until it his retail stores, sadly no word on when that will be.
