Only the best can proceed through, as the Gran Turismo World Series makes a return

PlayStation have announced that the Gran Turismo World Series is coming back for another year of competition, with the first round starting tomorrow and live events taking place later in the year.

Entry into the event is open to all racers of Gran Turismo 7, with the best racers from the first online season, being invited to the World Series Showdown, a 3-day event in July, against the best of the 2021 championship at the spectacular Red Bull Hangar-7 in Salzburg, Austria.

Season two will invite the fastest racers to challenge the established stars at the World Finals in November. After a two-year hiatus, the finals will return to the prestigious Sporting Monte Carlo, which hosted the 2018 and 2019 World Final Events.

In addition, fans can watch the top racers go head-to-head in a series of three Nations Cup and three Manufacturer Cup broadcast World Series races. While the competitors will compete online from their homes all over the world, the competition is no less fierce and the skills on show no less impressive.
