New details revealed for the story of Nioh 2
Team Ninja have released new details about Nioh 2, including a new story trailer and details about the games post release content, but first the trailer, check it out.
The trailer gives players a glimpse into the story of Nioh 2, which takes place in 1555, a period in Japan known as the Warring States, where never-ending war has transformed the peaceful nation into a place that has been consumed by chaos and infested by yokai. These demonic spirits actually feed upon the people that they destroy.
This is the scenario in which we take control of the playable character, a rogue mercenary who is hunting down the evil yokai, but he himself is part yokai. There is much more story to discover, but you can either wait for the games release in March, or head to the PlayStation Blog to learn more about it.
On top of this, details about the games post release DLC were revealed, while nothing specific, they do tease what is to come. There are currently three major releases planed, each focusing on a new storyline that is set before the events of the main story.
Included in that are new weapons, combat options and new characters, across many new missions, so there is a lot to look forward to. For now though, we end with some new screens, so enjoy.
