Near the end of 2024, Capcom hosted a Monster Hunter Wilds update stream, where the team went over a lot of stuff, it was 90 minutes long after all. One of the questions raised would be around the chances of a second beta and while they were not confirming one then they did state if another did happen, it would likely just be a modified version of the first and turns out that was correct.

Capcom have announced that a second beta will take place and over two weeks in February, in the lead up to the games full release.

The beta test will feature the content included in the first open beta test, as well as Gypceros as a huntable monster. Users will also be able to carry over their character creation data from the first test. Users who take part in the test will receive special bonuses that can be redeemed in the full game, including a decorative charm for your weapon or Seikret, and an item pack.

As for when the beta will take place, it will happen at the following times, please note these are the times for Australia:
