Monster Hunter Wilds delivers even more information thanks to Tokyo Game Show
Capcom have released more information on Monster Hunter Wilds, which picked up the games release date just the other day. That news came with a trailer but Capcom have released an extended version of it, which you can watch below.
Now, in addition to the trailer above, we also got a deep dive trailer for the game where Alma the Hunter’s Handler breaks down all that you need to know for this release. So who is Alma and the rest of the team for that matter, well for Alma she is your handler, basically the guild receptionist who travels with the party. It is her job to give you jobs and to report back to the main guild on your success or failure.
The smithy for your team is Gemma and they will take the materials you obtain on your hunts and forge new weapons and armour, which if past games are any indication will always be something you want to do. The Palico is your support when in the field, they will help you will help distract monsters, call out items you can obtain and more. The three of them, with yourself make up the expedition team, but yours is not the only team.
As the world itself is meant to be a seamless living world, with dynamic weather and all that entails, you need to understand how things work. The first location players will explore is the Windward Plains, which can shift from vibrant and teeming with life, to dry and savage as quickly as the storms that wash over head.
Alma’s briefing also dives into some of the monsters, pop-up camps and the basics of hunting, it is very much worth checking out.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set to release on February 28th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with the game offering up cross-play on all versions.
