Monster Hunter Outlanders announced for mobile
Capcom may have let many folks down with Monster Hunter Now, the first mobile title in the series, but they are seemingly set to capture players interest with their second game Monster Hunter Outlanders. A mobile game developed by TiMi Studio Group that seems to be an authentic Monster Hunter experience. Check out the reveal trailer for the game below.
Now the reason why I say claim to be authentic is that in the trailer above, there is no actual monster fighting seen, just a lot of world and that does not load in smoothly. Now the game has just been announced, so hopefully both issues are addressed soon, but right now it has a look of Monster Hunter, just without the gameplay to match.
The game is coming to mobile devices, but there is no release date for it yet. We do know that there will be a series of tests for the game, in the lead up to its release, so you might get a chance to try before you buy, so to speak. Plus, as the game is being made by TiMi, it is going to offer microtransactions as all their games do.
The game promises an expansive open world where players can traverse seamlessly interconnected environments, from lush forests and murky swamps to sprawling deserts, all on their smartphone. Hunt at your leisure, anywhere, anytime.
The game also leverages the environment's inhabitants and mechanics to provide strategic advantages, enhancing the exploration of its vast world. Players can look forward to crafting personalised equipment and tools, further enriching the gaming experience.
Monster Hunter Outlanders retains the beloved core gameplay of the Monster Hunter series while enhancing its battle system for even greater enjoyment. Engage in thrilling combat against formidable monsters, armed with the series' iconic weaponry.
Throughout the narrative, players will meet a cast of distinctive characters. These individuals not only have the potential to join forces with the player as allies but also offer the intriguing option of being directly controlled by the player, adding a layer of depth and personalisation to the gaming experience.
Monster Hunter Outlanders is set to expand the beloved series' universe with the introduction of new companions. These allies will accompany players on their quests, providing assistance in gathering items and hunting monsters, alongside the series' iconic Felyne friends.
