Metal Slug Tactics is taking a step back and planning some more, delaying the game into next year
Dotemo and developer Leikir Studio have announced that Metal Slug Tactics, the first new game within the Metal Slug world, in a number of years, will no longer release in 2022 as planned.
The news was released via Twitter and while there was nothing more beyond, just the developers needing more time, they did provide a new piece of art to go with the news.
Marco, Eri, Fio, and Tarma are tinkering away to make #MetalSlugTactics as explosive as possible on release, but the squad needs a bit more time in the shop to prepare for the battles ahead. See you in 2023! @LeikirStudio x @Dotemu

The game was first revealed back in 2021 for PC, but a Switch release was announced soon after, you can check out the reveal trailer for the game below.
