Marvel World of Heroes is combining the superhero lifestyle, with mobile AR gaming

Marvel and Niantic Labs have announced a new AR game coming to mobile devices in 2023, World of Heroes, where players will pick the powers of a Marvel hero, join and team and save the world, while exploring it. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Details for it are incredibly light, but you can pre-register your interest in the game here. Given that the only game that they developed, that is still going is Pokemon Go, the Pikmin game is more of an app, I don’t hold hopes that this one will work.

The magic of Harry Potter failed, Ingress never got going and Catan World Explorers, explored out very quickly, this Marvel themed title will have to do something special to get people to pay attention. Before this arrives next year, the NBA All-World game is coming, so we shall see what happens there.
