Marvel 1943 Rise of Hydra gets a proper name, trailer and details
In a bit of a surprising move, Skydance New Media were at GDC 2024 and during a Unreal Engine panel, they debuted the first proper trailer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, a game we first learnt about in September 2022, check it out.
In addition to the trailer, we also got the reveal of the main cast, at least on the good guys side.
Khary Payton plays Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandfather and the WWII-era Black Panther
Drew Moerlein plays Steve Rogers, aka Captain America
Megalyn Echikunwoke plays Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in Occupied Paris
Marque Richardson plays Gabriel Jones, a U.S. soldier and member of the Howling Commandos.
Lyne Renée plays Julie, a key ally in the French Resistance
Joel Johnstone rounds out our cast as Howard Stark.
We also learnt that the composer of the game would be Stephen Barton, who has worked on games and movies like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Star Trek Picard, Apex Legends, Titanfall, and 12 Monkeys.
Right now the only thing we know about the release is the game is aiming to hit in 2025, but there are no platforms or a release window. Given the game is being made on Unreal Engine 5, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are the likely candidates, but until its confirmed, who really knows.
