Madden 21 is coming and Xbox Series X is included in that
In a world where are are only a few constants, like the Sun rising in the east, it is expected that each year will see the release of Madden and EA Sports announced that Madden 21 is coming this year. The trailer or video has Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes talking about the game and towards the end of it, is a look at some new gameplay for the Series X release.
The odd part is that the game is offering those who pick up a copy of the game on Xbox One, will get a free copy on Xbox Series X, if they updated to the new platform, except there is a catch, this is not part of Smart Delivery.
Instead if you buy the game on Xbox One, by December 31st and get a Series X console by March 31st, you will get the upgrade for free, outside of that, you need to pay for it.
“The development teams at EA are always pushing the envelope to leverage new technology in exciting ways that benefit their fans and we’re thrilled by the work they’ve done in optimizing Madden NFL 21 for Xbox Series X,” said Sarah Bond, Head of Xbox Partnerships and Business Development. “We’re delighted to be partners as we usher in the next generation of gaming.”
There is no release date on the game yet, for either platform, but more details are coming at EA Play, which is set to stream this June 12, the details for that are here.
