Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is revved up for release this September
Developer Dragami Games have revealed that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will arrive this September 25, giving the world a new chance to enjoy this high school cheerleading lead zombie slaughering adventure. Check out the trailer for the game below.
The game is of course a remaster of the 2012 original release and while the story remains unchanged, the developers have done a lot of quality of life work to the game, including adding in the all new RePOP mode.
This new mode keeps the action the same, but instead of blood and gore, it uses a unique and colourful pop art-inspired art style for damage effects.
As for the games quality if life changes, there are a number of them. The biggest ones is that he game now runs in full HD. For the Switch release, also the debut of the series on a Nintendo platform, the game will run at 1080p 30fps, but the other consoles will do 4K 60fps. The games load times have been shortened as well.
The games main weapon, the chainsaw, has also seen improvements provided to its speed, mainly with the introduction of a Chained Hits Hunting system, in which chaining multiple hits together, increases your attack speed. Combo timing have been reworked, allowing even more players to do them successfully and finally, Quick Time Events or QTEs can now be done automatically.
As far as new content goes, there are 30 costumes you can wear, new hair styles and colours and 4 new chainsaws to carry with you and a Time Attack mode has been added as well.
The game is arriving on September 25 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch.
