Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess invokes a July release date
During the Summer Game Fest 2024 Showcase, Capcom revealed that Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess would be releasing on July 19 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, with it also being a day one release into Game Pass. Check out the latest trailer for the game below.
In this distinctive, Japanese-inspired, and visually stunning game, players assume the role of protagonist Soh, tasked with making sharp strategic decisions and executing skilful sword dances, while working with rescued villagers and the Maiden Yoshiro, to overcome the challenges ahead. By day, players explore the village, rescuing villagers and strategically assigning them roles to combat the Seethe at night. At night, these villagers join Soh in defending Yoshiro from the Seethe onslaught.
Something you might have spotted in the trailer is that the player appeared to be a ball of light at one time. When Soh's health is depleted, he enters a Spirit State, where the player can't engage in combat but must command villagers to safeguard Yoshiro. The Festering Seethe summons Seethe swarms, necessitating cooperation with villagers. Players will navigate both scenarios, blending intense action with strategy, to confront the formidable Festering Seethe, cleanse the village of corruption, and restore tranquillity to the mountain.
The game is coming on July 19, so there isn’t long to go now.
