Kia Ora from the skies above New Zealand as Microsoft Flight Simulator releases its latest world update
Xbox have announced that the next world update for Microsoft Flight Simulator has arrived and in this 12th update, takes pilots to the skies above New Zealand. Check out the new trailer below.
As always with these updates, they are made using a combination of satellite imagery, aerial photography, and digital elevation models, ensuring that everything looks as close to real life as they can get it.
World Update XII: New Zealand features seven new cities created using high-resolution photogrammetry data and triangulated irregular network modelling:

Christchurch
Hamilton
Nelson
Queenstown
Tauranga
Wellington
From the local folks at Orbx, there are also 62 handcrafted points of interest to experience from the air. And, from Orbx and NZA Simulations, there are nine handcrafted airports:
