Humankind has released on consoles today in a surprising move
Sega and developer Amplitude Studios have announced that Humankind for consoles is out now, surprising many as the last time we heard anything on the game was that it was indefinitely delayed. Check out the new trailer below.
In November 2022, the game was revealed to be delayed to such an unknown time that pre-orders were refunded and things went silent, so a surprise release has really come out of nowhere.
In the game, players can combine up to 60 historical cultures as you lead your people from the Ancient to the Modern Age. From humble origins as a Neolithic tribe, transition to the Ancient Era as the Babylonians, become the Classical era Mayans, the Medieval Umayyads, the Early Modern era British, and so on. Each culture will add its own special gameplay layer, leading to near-endless outcomes.
The game is out now for both generations of PlayStation and Xbox, with it also coming to Game Pass today, joining the PC release from last year.
