Forza Motorsport gets new details via the Xbox Developer Direct
Turn 10 Studios were on hand to showcase more of Forza Motorsport, their reboot of the iconic racing series. The game is being built with a heck of a lot of new tech, to provide the most vibrant visuals and rich sounds.
The devs at Turn 10 Studio have brought some impressive tech to the game, one of which is how the paint of cars are scanned, giving multiple levels of information. That means that when the sun hits the right spot, the highlights and reflections on your car, might be different to another car, even if the base colour is the same.
Sounds in the car are going to be very different, because for the first time, the sounds of the car will change dynamically depending on what parts you have installed.
Forza Motorsport will feature over 500 real-world cars at launch for you to collect, race and customize using more than 800 unique upgrades and custom modifications.
The only downside to all this news, no release date. Given the promise at the 2022 Xbox Showcase, the game should release by June, but there is no word on if that is still the case.
