Everspace 2 is happening... in a bit
Rockfish Games have announced Everspace 2, the next title in the popular series, but before you get to excited, the game won’t be out for a while. In order to ensure that the game meets the high standards set by the team and expected by the players, the game won’t hit early access on PC until late 2020, with the full release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, happening at the end of 2021.
The game is playable at Gamescom 2019 in Alpha form, so players there can get a taste, but the rest of us need to wait a while.
"With its innovative concept of rapid space battles with rogue-like elements and exciting storytelling,EVERSPACE™was able to excite over a million PC and console players, but many of our fans and space game enthusiasts were still longing for an open world space shooter with classic RPG elements in the EVERSPACE™universe," says Michael Schade, CEO and co-founder of ROCKFISH Games. "With EVERSPACE™ 2, we are making a big leap towards an open world space shooter, but will still remain true to our DNA and offer exactly what our fans love: a beautiful fantastic sci-fi world paired with uncompromising space action that gets down to business right away".
