BlizzCon is coming back, in 2026

Blizzard have announced that BlizzCon is coming back to a full event, at least in 2026 and will be the first in person event since the 2023 event.
The event will take place on September 12, and Sunday, September 13 2026. For the location, in a move that won’t surprise anyone it will be located within the Anaheim Convention Center, where all the shows have taken place.
If you are wondering why we are saying the show will be back in 2026, that is because there will be no show in 2025, which there was no reason provided for the no show this year. 2024 was the same way, there was no show and no specific reason was given. The show has sadly been off more in the past few years than on, with a special BlizzConline being held in February 2021, after the 2020 cancellation due to Covid-19.
2023 was a smaller shower as well, so the last full sized show took place in 2019, with the 2026 show being a return to form for the studio, so what is going to be included. Obviously we don’t know the line up yet, it is a bit too early, but the studio has said the following:
For 2026, alongside BlizzCon staples like Opening Ceremony, in-depth panels, the Darkmoon Faire, friendly competition, hands-on gameplay, and more, we aim to meaningfully elevate this iconic celebration and create an unforgettable experience for all who take part in it. We are building this event just like we build our games: with a deep commitment to our players, with respect for your connections to our universes, and as a celebration of the strength of the bonds formed through shared adventure.
As for tickets, there is no date for when they will go on sale, but if you are planning on going, the dates will help you lock down some hotels, of which there are a few hundred around Anaheim, as it is also the home of Disneyland.
