Bethesda are coming to PAX Australia in force
Bethesda have announced their plans for PAX Australia 2019, which includes a return of the successful Bethesda Lane and a chance for Australian gamers to get hands on with DOOM Eternal.
The PAX Promenade will once again be taken over by Bethesda, last year it was evident by the massive inflatable icons from the games, and will again wear the name Bethesda Lane for the week. This year, Bethesda Lane will get a fresh, new makeover representing the Fallout, Elder Scrolls and DOOM series. Bethesda Lane will feature fun photo opportunities and community meet ups, while also giving fans the opportunity to explore three Bethesda restaurant takeovers in Common Man, Meat Market and Tessie Pearl. Each venue will be holding Fallout, DOOM and Elder Scrolls themed giveaways, along with bespoke menu items – be sure to check it all out!
Of course, the biggest game for Bethesda this year is clearly DOOM Eternal and Bethesda have teamed up with AMD to make it possible to play the game. Those who want to give a go, need only head to the AMD booth (which also confirms AMD are at the show) and join the line.
For those looking for more DOOM, throughout the weekend of PAX, attendees will be able to access a profusion of DOOM themed areas, panels and events; featuring the Hell on Earth Queue Hall, a hand-painted 28m long ‘History of DOOM’ mural on Knox St, interactive DOOM photo opportunities, the DOOM Hell on Earth kick-off party, and a limited run of DOOM Pinny Arcade Pins.
I had the chance to play the game at E3 2019 and loved it, so more hands on is on my list.
Finally, there will be events for both The Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76, including meet up and cosplay competitions, however the one thing you wont want to miss is that ZeniMax Online Studios Creative Director, Rich Lambert is making the trek down under and will be on a series of panels to talk about the game.
