Atari is bringing back an iconic title in a new way with Yars Rising
During the recent Indie World showcase from Nintendo, Atari were on hand to reveal Yars Rising, the latest in the modern takes on many of their classic titles. Check out the announcement trailer for it below.
In Yars Rising, players take control of the young hacker Emi Kimura, who is hired by a mysterious patron to infiltrate the shadowy Qotech corporation. Run, jump, sneak, and hack a way through challenges to unravel layers of intrigue in this expansive sci-fi mystery. Embark on Emi’s journey to decipher the mystery of the corporation’s closely guarded secret and uncover her inexplicable bond to a far-off alien race.

While the game was shown off for Switch, it has been confirmed to be coming to more platforms, in fact all platforms. Below are a few screens from the Switch release and below that are some PC screens.
The game does now have a dedicated release date at this time, outside of 2024, but its likely that they are aiming for much later in the year.
