Assassin's Creed Valhalla scores a trio of musical talent for its soundtrack
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla aims to take the classic series to new locations with Vikings, but there is some familiarity to discover with it, as Jesper Kyd is returning to compose the game, in addition to Sarah Schachner and original songs by Einar Selvik.
Fans of Assassin’s Creed should know Jesper, as he composed the music for the very first game, then all three of the Ezio adventures, before he stepped away. Since then he was worked on many other high profile game series like Borderlands 2 and 3, as well as Warhammer: Vermintide 2, check out his
Sarah Schachner is an American composer known for blending authentic folk string instruments with analog synths, electronic production, and orchestra. In 2017, she composed the original score for Assassin’s Creed Origins, and more recently has worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Anthem.
The unknown, at least for most people will be Einar Selvik, or as he is also known Kvitrafn, a Norwegian who has had a long 25 year career. He will be writing the original songs for the game, with his most noticeable work being on the soundtrack for the hit show Vikings.
