A new PlayStation 5 update is here, preparing for the DualSense Edge controller
It is the week for system updates, with Xbox announcing their new one, PlayStation were not that far behind confirming that system version 22.02-06.50.00 has been release, which adds in support for the DualSense Edge controller.
One of the big additions for the new DualSense Edge is the inclusion of extra buttons on the rear of the device, a lockable USB-C braided cable, trigger adjustment options and replaceable sticks and caps.
The controller can be ordered from a number of retailers like EB Games and JB HiFi, but it will cost you as the RRP is $339.95, which is about $220 more than the basic controller. But as this controller is designed for gamers who want more precision and control, it is not something the average player should worry about getting. A few outlets in Australia went hands on with the controller recently, Kotaku being one of them, if you want some early impressions of the device.
The update that adds in support for the controller, also brought with it improved system performance, if you are into that sort of thing.
