2K invites fans to become part of the game and the hype at PAX Australia
We are just a day away from PAX Australia and 2K have announced what Borderlands 3 and WWE fans will be able to enjoy at the show, including a chance to get yourself in the game, sort of. Here is everything, starting with WWE:
Join the superstars of Twitch ANZ as they battle it out in WWE 2K19 for the Twitch ANZ Championship Belt and the title of “most electrifying streamer”.
BajoStreams, Naysy, WetforJesus, SeriesOfBlurs, SarinaCSGO, Alithyia, and PandaTV (and a secret contestant know as Lord Rupert Pemberton) will be making their way into the ring on Saturday 12 October in the Wombat Theatre.
For Borderlands 3, there are three times the fun with the follow:
Stream Team Loot Hunt
The Official Borderlands Stream Team will calling on audience members to help them collect the most loot as they compete against each other in the ultimate loot hunt on Friday 11 October. The Stream Team, made up of Ziggy D, Naysy, Subparlover and PandaTV, will play blindfolded, guided only by their selected audience member, as they create mayhem in the EB Live theatre. There will be some sweet giveaways, some even just for attending!
Cosplay Competition
2K are calling on cosplayers to participate in the Borderlands 3 Cosplay Contest on Saturday 12 October. In celebration of the recent launch of the game and the incredible community of cosplayers in Australia, the contest will allow participants to showcase their best Borderlands-themed creations and have a chance to win part of the $3500 prize pool.
The Contest will be judged by a panel including Lilith FMV actress Vera Chimera, cosplayer TJ Cosplay, and Borderlands Stream Team member SubParLover, and hosted by 2K Games ANZ Community Manager Adam 'Pez' Perry and "The Aussie Calypso Twins" LuckyBonez and GrimmBonez.
The contest, which will be streamed live on Twitch, will be held in the EB LIVE Theatre between 12:30PM AEST on the Saturday of PAX AUS.
Cosplay Booth
PAXers will be able to stop by the Borderlands 3 cosplay booth and step in front of 2K’s green screen to have their images created to look like they’re in the game. A definitely must-visit for any Borderlands fan, so keep an eye out!
