The digital PC release of Control is exclusive to the Epic Games Store

505 Games and Remedy Entertainment have announced that when Control releases for PC, those who want to go the digital route, will need to ensure they have an Epic Game Store account, as the game will only be available there.

Set in a unique and ever-changing world that juxtaposes our familiar reality with the strange and unexplainable, Control is a third-person action-adventure game combining award-winning developer Remedy Entertainment’s trademark gunplay with supernatural abilities.

Check out this exclusive early WIP (work-in-progress) real-time ray tracing demo of Control on PC. Powered by GeForce RTX, part of the GDC 2019 showcase. In this video you can see examples of various real-time ray tracing techniques such as Ray Traced Indirect Diffuse, Ray Traced Indirect Specular and Ray Traced Contact Shadows.

The game is also coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with all three platforms having physical releases. August 27, 2019 is the date you need to know as it has been confirmed as the games release date, making it less than one since year since announcement and release.
