Welcome to Hope County, Montana. When your arrival incites the cult to violently seize control of the region, you must rise up and spark the fires of resistance to liberate a besieged community.
Freely explore Hope County’s rivers, lands, and skies with the largest customizable weapon and vehicle roster ever in a Far Cry game. You are the hero of the story in a thrilling world that hits back with every punch, and where the places you discover and the locals you ally with will shape your story in ways you’ll never see coming.
You are set to step into the boots of a small town sheriff as he attempts to stop Eden's Gate, lead by Joseph Seed and his family, as they attempt to take control of their land from the government, whom they don't trust.
“He hears a voice,” said executive producer Dan Hay. “He has a mandate, and what he believes is that he has been chosen to protect people from the collapse, to save them, and he’s going to save them whether they want to be saved or not. ... They believe we must be prepared to be tested, that we’re going to have to harvest souls. And souls don’t harvest themselves.”
The game promises to offer freedom to players, the freedom to go in any direction – you decide the when, the where, and the how. From the moment you enter Hope County you have the freedom to tackle the world in any order you choose.
Check out these first videos of some of the characters that you will get to interact with in the game, first up is Mary May Fairgrave and you can find this born-and-raised Montanan behind the counter of the family bar, the Spread Eagle.
If Mary May ain't you speed, then perhaps you might like to hang out with Nick Rye, a local man with a love of his plane and soon to be child.
Perhaps though, you need a little inspiration, while you fight the blah, well in comes Pastor Jerome Jeffries, leader of the local parish and ready to protect it from all threats.
More details will come out at E3 in just a few weeks, so stay tuned, until then enjoy some pretty incredible concept art.
