Heroes of the Storm Spring Championship Kicks Off This Month

It is a brand new year and time for a brand new eSports championship, this time its the Heroes of the Storm Global Championship Circuit! The best teams from Australia/New Zealand, China, Europe, Korea, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan will be competing in a quarterly, seasonal format, culminating in a Global Championship event. In total, more than $4 million USD is up for grabs in the 2016 Global Championship Circuit!

The Australian and New Zealand Season 1 will feature two online, open qualifiers taking place on January 30 and February 7, with the top four teams progressing. Then on February 28, Blizzard Australian, in partnership with ESL, will stream the Season Final live, with a $20K USD prize pool up for grabs. The top performing team will move on to represent Australia and New Zealand at the Spring Finals being held in Korea, and a shot at an additional $500,000 USD.
