Nintendo Australia Announces That New Nintendo 3DS Will Release Here On Nov 21
Nintendo Australia just dropped a massive bombshell, firstly the local branch of the 125 year old company held their first ever exclusively Australian Nintendo Direct but that the purpose of this direct was to tell Australian Nintendo 3DS owners that we will be the first region outside of Japan to get the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL. But the crazy part is that we are getting it this November.
While Australia getting new hardware is not an uncommon occurrence, us getting it before North America and Europe is quite rare. I believe the last time we got something before them was Mario Kart Wii and it was one day earlier. Of course Nintendo fans here will be happy we are getting something before the top half of the world, people maybe asking why us. The only thing I can think of and a lot of people online are saying the same thing is we are a smaller market so it might just be easier to make them for us.
But enough of that, down to the details. The new machines will be available here on November 21st, which is the rumored day for Smash Bros for Wii U, the machine will be released in two sizes, New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL, with the machines releasing at $219.95 and $249.95 respectively. The New Nintendo 3DS will be released only in the white version you can see above, with the New Nintendo 3DS XL being released in a metallic black and metallic blue and neither of the models will come with a power adaptor.
Releasing along side the new models will be a new style of dock to help keep your 3DS fully charged up. Also New Nintendo 3DS owners will also be able to purchase a series of themed plates to help make their 3DS one of a kind.
So are you planning to pick up one of these new machines?
