Fun, fast and feature-packed Nokia Lumia 625 coming to Australia
Sydney, Australia – 24 July 2013. The new Nokia Lumia 625 arrives next month, putting high-speed entertainment into the hands of Australians, at an affordable price. The latest addition to the Lumia family features 4G connectivity and a 4.7-inch super-sensitive LCD display – Nokia’s largest smartphone screen to date.
The Nokia Lumia 625 will be widely available from the 23rd August from leading retailers[i], with Telstra and Optus Business ranging at the end of August and Virgin Mobile from early September. RRP will be AUD$399.
Building on Nokia’s award winning Lumia design, the Nokia Lumia 625 includes changeable shells, which when paired with the familiar Windows Phone 8 OS makes it easy to personalise your smartphone inside and out.
Nokia Australia’s managing director, Steve Lewis, said: “The Nokia Lumia 625 has our largest ever smartphone screen with 4G internet access and our latest apps. It’s a handset with big personality, but happily for consumers a much smaller price tag.
“Our focus remains on offering choice and value for customers, by continuing to deliver new developments and experiences across our smartphone range, at every price point. This is a key point of difference for us.”
Powered by the latest version of Windows Phone 8 and including the Nokia Lumia Amber update, you’ll find many of the new innovations recently announced with the higher-end Lumia 925 model on the Nokia Lumia 625. These include integrated camera applications such as Nokia Smart Camera, offering handy features like removing unwanted objects from pictures, and Nokia Cinemagraph, a clever app that turns photos into living memories with added movement.
With its huge screen and super-fast connectivity, the Nokia Lumia 625 also lets you make the most out of leading maps and location experiences from HERE, providing free maps, turn-by-turn navigation and public transport guidance from the palm of your hand.
Wrapping up the rich entertainment experience on the Nokia Lumia 625 is Nokia Music – a free music streaming service exclusive to Nokia, which provides ad-free mixes without registration or subscription, plus the ability to download for listening offline.
