God of War®: Ascension kicks its way into the New Year with a Multiplayer Beta coming to PlayStation® Plus
SYDNEY, 13th December 2012 - Sony Computer Entertainment Australia (SCE Aust.) today confirmed that the hotly anticipated God of War®: Ascension, for PlayStation®3 (PS3™), Multiplayer Beta is officially coming to PlayStation® Plus (PS Plus) on 10th January 2013. Fans can preview the adrenaline fuelled gameplay in the new multiplayer trailer, “Evil Ways” that launched today on the PlayStation® Australia YouTube Channel.
God of War: Ascension multiplayer levels are broken out into two categories – larger maps, which feature big open environments (like Desert of Lost Souls), and more compact Arenas which intensify the action and test your reflexes as you fight for survival in close-quarters combat.
Once the Beta launches, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to take the experience even further with Team Favour Rush mode, the God of War twist on Team Deathmatch. You’ll fight to reach the requisite number of favour points from the Gods, to unlock new customisation options for your Gladiator. A yet-to-be-seen single player version will also be available, designed for solo-warrior fighting for those who like to go it alone.
God of War: Ascension is the prequel to the best-selling God of War® franchise. After being tricked into killing his wife and child by Ares, Kratos has been sentenced to spend eternity in a titan-sized prison for the living damned as punishment for breaking his blood oath by swearing to avenge the only people he ever loved. Armed with his trusty Blades of Chaos, he must take on mythology’s darkest creatures while solving intricate puzzles throughout his merciless quest for freedom and redemption.
Kick start 2013 with this epic new God of War: Ascension multiplayer Beta experience and push your skills to the limit.
God of War: Ascension will be released in Australia on 14th March 2013. For more information on the game please visitwww.godofwar.com.
