It has been a while since Nintendo have hosted an indie world showcase, the last one being in November of 2022. They did have their house of indies event just before christmas as well, but those were short little bursts.

This Thursday morning will be a roughly 20 minute long showcase, in which Nintendo describes it as “of reveals, announcements, and updates on indie games“
