Ys IX: Monstrum Nox will come to Switch this July

NIS America have announced that after a successful release on PlayStation 4, Ys IX Monstrum Nox will soon make its way onto Switch, releasing on July 16th. Check out the video below, to see what folks have said about the game.

Much like past games, players will once again step into the shoes of renowned adventurer Adol “the Red” Christin and he and his companion Dogi arrive at Balduq, a city annexed by the Romun Empire, only for Adol to be detained before setting foot inside. While imprisoned, he meets a mysterious woman named Aprilis who turns him into a Monstrum, a being with supernatural Gifts and the power to exorcise monsters.

Now, Adol must ally with his fellow Monstrums to fend off the fearsome threats emerging from a shadowy dimension called the Grimwald Nox, as well as unravel the mysteries of the Monstrum curse, and the truth behind the unrest within Balduq.

The game will be available digitally, but for those that want a little extra, there is the Pact Edition, which comes with the game, a Mini Art Book, Digital Sound and reversible cover art.
