You won't be board at PAX Australia 2024 thanks to VR Distribution
While a lot of PAX Australia remains shrouded in mystery, the show is around 7 weeks away, those mysteries are starting to be solved. Case in point, VR Distribution have announced some of the games that tabletop fans will be able to enjoy at the show.

We have brand new game releases, new sets and exclusive collectibles only available at PAX Aus, along with fan favourites. It’s going to be the ultimate tabletop get together and we can’t wait to welcome everyone.”
Star Wars: Unlimited
Star Wars: Unlimited is a new trading card game that has launched two sets here in Australia already and a third set is on the way. Those who attend will actually be able to play with Set Three and there will also be an event exclusive Grogu card for the game. You can see what it will look like below.
Altered
If event specific promo cards are your thing, then rejoice as Altered will also have one. If that name sounds familiar to you, that is because it was the biggest ever Kickstarter campaign for a tabletop game. If that name does not sound familiar to you, then don’t worry, it will be at PAX Australia to play as well.
Monkey Place
For those who prefer Lego to boardgames, but also love a good boardgame, relax as the two are coming together. It was announced earlier this year, but Asmodee and Lego were coming together to create all new Lego themed board games. The first game from this collaboration is Monkey Place and it to will be playable at the show for the first time ever.

Speaking of Asmodee, they will also have a range of games to play, like Forest Shuffle, Captain Flip and Iello’s much anticipated release, King of Tokyo Duel.
Finally, you can’t talk about tabletop games without mentioning Catan, sorry CATAN! and at PAX Australia 2024, there is a reason to be that excited. Catan Studios will bring the much loved Gencon “Catan Experience Event” to Australia for the first time with a Dice Trading Chase, where participants will need to collect dice from all around PAX Aus and trade them in for an event exclusive Catan die.
