Xbox adds 70 more games to its backwards compatible list, along with boosting up even more existing ones

As part of the Xbox 20th anniversary, 70 new games have been added to the Backwards Compatible line up, from both Xbox 360 and the original Xbox console, along with more games getting FPS boosts and Auto HDR.

26 titles, yes twenty-six games have been given the FPS boost, something players can opt to turn on or off in the game management settings, here are a few of the ones getting the additional frames.

  • Gears of War

  • Gears of War 2

  • Gears of War 3

  • Gears of War Judgement

  • Fallout 3

  • Fallout: New Vegas

  • Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

  • Dragon Age: Origins

  • Dead Space 2

  • Dead Space 3

  • Alan Wake

  • Sonic Generations

But it isn’t just the Xbox Series family getting the boost, Xbox Cloud Gaming is also getting in on the fun, with Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and The Evil Within 2 and 30 more titles, also getting the enhancements.

Of course, the bigger news for some is that 70 additional titles are being added to the Backwards Compatible list, 11 of those will also get FPS Boost, allowing for double the frame rate on games like .E.A.R., F.E.A.R. 3, Binary Domain, and NIER. Check out the full list:

Depending on the hardware you are choosing to enjoy them on, the resolution boost you will get, will vary, but here is what is available for each.

  • 4x resolution increase on Xbox Series X and Xbox One X

  • 3x resolution increase on Xbox Series S

  • 2x resolution increase on Xbox One S and Xbox One
