Wish has been granted a full trailer, ahead of its Boxing Day release
Disney have released a full trailer for Wish, their upcoming animated movie, which tells the story of Asha and her desire to see the wishes of all the people in the kingdom granted, though King Magnifico does not support that idea.
Welcome to the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.
The movies main actors are Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino. Today more of the cast was announced, with Angelique Cabral as Queen Amaya, the wife and sounding board of King Magnifico; Victor Garber as Asha’s grandfather, Sabino, who—at 100 years old—is patiently waiting for his wish to be granted; and Natasha Rothwell as Asha’s loving and supportive mom, Sakina.
The movie is being directed by Chris Buck from the Frozen movies and Tarzan, and Fawn Veerasunthorn from Raya and the Last Dragon. The movie is opening in Australia on December 26th.
