Universal's Epic Universe will open in May 2025

Universal Orlando Resort have announced that Epic Universe, there third theme park and fourth park will open on May 22nd, 2025, with tickets going on sale this week.

We have covered each of the lands in the park in detail, you can find them below the rendering of the park below.

The blue strip in the middle is actually a series of connected pools and fountains and is known as Celestial Park, the bottom left corner of the image is where guests will enter the park.

The left side of the image is where Super Nintendo World is located, the land which has versions in Japan and Hollywood will be known as Mario World and the new part under construction in Japan, is Donkey Kong Country. The Japanese version of the land is set to open in 2024, but there is no date for it yet.

The bottom to bottom right side of the land is How To Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk, which if the name didn’t give it away is based on the How To Train Your Dragon series of movies and shows.

At the top of the image, surrounded by purple fog is Dark Universe, a land based on the classic universal monsters like Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein’s Monster and more.

The right side of the image is where magic happens as this is the third Harry Potter themed land, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic.

Across the lands there are three rollercoasters, a number of flat rides and some bespoke experiences like Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. Each land will have plenty to eat and buy, with a giant hall location straight out of How To Train Your Dragon or a stake house for those who want to dine surrounded by monsters.

The park is also getting three new hotels, one inside the park and two outside of it. Inside the park and located to the right of the purple fog is Universal Helios Grand Hotel. Guests staying here will have a private dedicated entry into the park, everyone else has to come in from the main entrance.

Outside of the par are the twin hotels of Universal Stella Nova Resort, opening January 21, 2025, and Universal Terra Luna Resort, opening February 25, 2025. The outsides of both hotels are covered in reflective brickwork, which shifts colours as the sun hits it across the day and at night, thousands of twinkling lights will make it look like constellations in the night sky.
