Tune in for some killer tunes as Killer Frequency has been announced for PC and VR

Team17 have announced that they are stepping into the world of VR with their first in-house developed VR game, Killer Frequency, and sees players take the night shift at the local radio station and help listeners as they’re stalked by the mysterious masked killer. Check out the games teaser trailer below.

As the gruesome night unfolds, interact with callers using a variety of conversation options while listening carefully for clues and information, solve puzzles around the studio that could help prevent each caller’s grisly demise, and keep the show going with tunes inspired by the decade. Players can also explore the studio building, and interact with authentic items from the era, including a working turntable and a cassette player.

What is interesting is that the game is coming to Oculus Quest 2, but will also be on Steam and the game is being optimised for both platforms. For those who play on Quest 2, that means you will get a 72 frames-per-second image, for a latency-free experience but if you are on PC via Steam, then you get a full PC experience.

The game is coming later in 2022 for both platforms, but a specific release date has not yet been announced.
