Transformers One takes us back to Cybertron with its first trailer

Paramount Pictures and Hasbro have released the first trailer for the new Transformers One, an all-new animated movie that shows off what Optimus Prime and Megatron were like, before they were the leaders we know, check it out.

Details on the plot are light, for obvious reasons, but we do have this description provided by Paramount.

Transformers One is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever.

The look is quite interesting, as it has familiar design elements that we come to know, but also some parts that only die hard fans will know. Visually, there is a lot in common with Transformers: War for Cybertron, both the videogame from 2010 and the Netflix series from a few years ago.

The movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, with Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm.

The movie will release here in Australian on September 12, so there is a bit of a wait to go. So for now, enjoy the movies official poster below.
