There are big plans for changes to Battlefield 2042 coming
In a post written to the Battlefield Blog, developer DICE has laid out some of their areas of focus, when it comes to Map Design, one area that fans have been less than happy with.
There are five aspects to the maps that the team are looking at, Traversal, Intensity, Line of Sight, Paths and Cover, with each of them getting a broader explanation in the post.
As you can see in the image below, the team are looking a lot of things, including the general layout of some points on the map, in order to ensure people can get into battles fast, when they do, they are not going to be immediately destroyed by vehicles or have large amount of open ground to cover.
All the work is still very much on going, so if you don’t like that prototype, just as its name suggests, it isn’t final, so things can change between now and whenever the changes are rolled out.
