The Last of Us Part 1 is being remade for PlayStation 5 and PC
What was meant to be the big reveal at the end of the Summer Game Fest stream, PlayStation have announced that The Last of Us Part 1 is being completely remade and coming to PlayStation 5 on September 2nd, check out the reveal trailer below.
In addition to the PlayStation 5 release, the game is also going to come to PC as well, giving even more players a chance to experience the story of Joel and Ellie, there is just no word on the PC release date at this time.
As this is a complete remake the team behind it have modernised the gameplay, made use of the DualSense controller to offer improved controls, and expanded accessibility options in this single-player experience to allow even more individuals to enjoy the game.
Beyond that, effects, exploration, and combat have all been enhanced and for those who have the 3D Audio Headset, the game leverages the PS5’s 3D Audio to bring you into the world. The DualSense has also allowed for richer haptics and the adaptive triggers have also been implemented.
Both returning fans and new players alike will have the new opportunity to experience both The Last of Us Part I and its prequel story Left Behind in a whole new way.
